The New Year is just around the corner and we would like to send well-wishes to all our residents, clients, and The Corridor. What can we say, 2020 has been a year many of us will never forget. As a property management group, we faced many challenges with the global pandemic and the derecho storm. We adapted and used our professional experience to deliver the best service possible to all. Our team realizes you, the reader, faced enormous challenges as well. Our hopes are that everything is headed in the right direction for you and that 2021 is a year for the record books. These challenges could not have been dreamt up, but we believe that we are better as property managers because of it.
When we look back at 2020, there were many great positives for Q4 Real Estate. We added a 40+ townhomes for rent in Cedar Rapids at Buffalo Ridge and successfully filled them all. We filled our Parkway West apartments for rent in the Westdale district. Ahmann Companies announced their involvement with the upcoming 1st and 1st Development. Indirectly, the pandemic forced our team to adapt and we were able to create more efficient practices in-office. Shawna Mahoney surpassed her first calendar year with Q4 Real Estate and made a very big impact in the local leasing world. More recently, Q4 Real Estate started managing the popular Newbo Station apartments in the Newbo District. This is just a sample of the progress we have made collectively, and we would like to thank all who contributed to this success.
Going forward into 2021, there are some very exciting developments in the works behind the scenes. As you may know, the Cedar Rapids and Marion apartments for rent market continues to grow. There are many great minds working together each day to formulate projects. Q4 Real Estate will be leasing additional townhomes at Buffalo Ridge, we will open the Villas at The Hub in the spring. This is just a glimpse for what is to come. Our entire team is ecstatic for the opportunity to serve renters in The Corridor with a wider range of luxury rental options. As we noted in our previous blog, we really believe Cedar Rapids is an amazing city to rent in. We aim to prove that point further with the addition of new properties next year.
